Insomnia
Go to bed at 1am. Wake up at 3am. Up at 5am. Sometimes sleep will not come. Then look and feel like shit all day. Anyone else suffer from an inability to sleep? Bloody annoying it is at times.,

Re: Insomnia
Yes I do not sleep well ever. I am constantly tired but I have different things going on so its understandable.

Saying all that I doubt sitting in front of a bloody laptop or Ipad is going to make things better.

Listening to a relatively light-hearted audiobook puts me out. It just seems to relax me.

Re: Insomnia
When I smoked weed I'd get 8 hours straight and wake up in the same position I fell asleep.

I can't go 2 hours without waking (correct spelling) now.

Valium is great for a big kip but it comes with a real dozy hangover.

Don't understand why I can't sleep anymore, it used to be the one thing I was actually good at. FML

Re: Insomnia
i am quite active, stay relatively fit, don't eat too badly, do like a couple of drinks, but have never smoked. I guess we are all different in how we are made, its one of things that makes life interesting. I did get blackout blinds and curtains recently, I can recommend those to improve the depth of sleep, just doesnt last long.

Re: Insomnia
I can fall asleep anywhere and stay under for hours.

The problem is that I'm incredibly restless and flail around like a drowning donkey. According to the sleep tracker thingy on my FitBit I only get about 4 hours a night.

Seems OK though.

Re: Insomnia
Very rarely get more than 4 or 5 hours and cant remember the last time i slept straight through, wake up every hour or so, then drift off again, every so often have a no sleep night for no particular reason and thats me fucked the next day, but in general i dont feel tired most days so guess i get enough, is fucking annoying though, spending a good chunk of the night not sleeping.

Another vote for ear plugs as well, even if there is no noise, odd i know but it does help.

My advice is dont worry about it, if your body needs sleep it will come, worry only makes it worse.

Could be stress - it comes in many guises, a lot of them below the radar.
